By far the best way to grow aquatic animals in your backyard, like fish, mussles, yabbies, and other fresh water crayfish, is to use an aquaponic system.

If you've not heard of aquaponics before please visit the backyard aquaponics website or forum.

Aquaponics is the most efficient way of growing a fish crop because it combines plant crops within the system as well to filter the water.

Aquaponics,As a very keen and strong supporter of most things permaculture, organic or safe chemical free foods, I strongly agree with the systems and the clean envioromently a humanly friendly activity of Aquaponics

Growing aquatic animals in the swimming pool is pretty cool too -especially in the hot weather when we swim in it too!!
