Don't think I've got the jubblies to make it work - or the hips !

You'll have to come up with another fantasy :D

I had one planted and loved it to death
It looked a little sick, wilted leaves,I thought it was too dry so I kept giving it some water.

Probably got too much by being near another plants watering system
(I gave one to a neighbour in Melbourne he never watered it and it slowly died)
So I think they like some but not much water.

I like the fruit, good for juice and salads and middle eastern dishes.
Good for prostates too
Im in my mid 40's so I better plant one soon :ohdear:

Snags, you probably know this already, so please don't get offended, but just in case - you do know they're deciduous don't you ?

Mine looks like a dead stick for 3 months of the year.

I'm not offended we all don't know each others skill set, until we post some more.(my father and mother were both farmers, I have grown up with deciduous fruit trees over 40 years)
I grew up in Victoria so have very little experience with sub tropical climates though( I am learning quick )
It went beyond deciduous
I think part of the problem was it was too small, couldn't handle the love and the wet season
I bought it as a seedling,it started going backwards almost immediately, it just disappeared, combination of rot and maybe something eating it.
It had a trunk the size of a match stick, and was only 6 inches when I planted it.
Its a tough task I suppose to try and grow a Mediterranean climate plant in a subtropical climate.
Dry summer as compared to wet summer is a killer
Figs work, grapes work so I would hope these work too eventually
