Our favorite water saving technique has been to not use the flusher.
We humaure compost which not only saves on water but gives us a better supply of compost. Win Win. Also with the really hot compost one gets doing humanure, most of the things that the books tell you are compost "no-nos" are actually just fine in really hot compost.

Some other forums and message boards I've been active on in the past have to do with composting and humaure composting.

Yeah Taking a "leak" in the garden is a great idea for a guy....you dont get told off for leaving the seat up all the time....and they cant complain about those"dribbles"

Urine diluted with water from aproxx 20 part water to 1 part urine is safe without burning any thing delicate(seedlings)
Depending on plants ages, stage of growth, etc the ratio can be changed down to 15 parts to 1 ratio...

Id love to intergrate my poo into my aquaponics system....
