Maybe not the Aus. standards but very safe and much faster than hydraulic splitters. Btw, only the threaded cone was bought, motor bartered for services rendered and a home made stand.

Coles does have Spanish chorizos sometimes on ½ price, they have to be cooked to eat. On the last occasion I asked the sales girl to show me the whole 2.5 kg pack. The sticker on it had nitrite listed as one of the ingredients. Got the pack and smoked them, turned out a beauty.
Took a pic of what was left of the chorizos before putting them in the fridge to make space for another lot of pork necks. This time will keep an eye on them, will not let them dry out too much.
